A MENTOR?

A mentor is a role model committed to serve as  a friend for a designated student with the goal of helping him/her achieve their potential and discover their strengths.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

MATCH WITH A STUDENT:

Mentor Upstate will send your completed application to the appropriate school.  The school will use the information in the application to match you with a student. Once the student's parent permission form is signed, and the district's background check is completed, the school

will  contact you to coordinate your initial meeting with your mentee.

MEET YOUR MENTEE

The school contact will introduce you to your new mentee! At this meeting, you will learn the specifics to that school's mentoring process... check-in procedure, where to meet the child each week, etc. After this initial meeting, you will have all of the information you need to meet with your new friend each week.
